4th Grade Invention Convention
All News Stories
There's a lot of creative thinking going on at Linn-Mar, and our 4th graders are demonstrating some of their more innovative ideas in this year's Invention Convention.
Our 4th graders have identified problems and solved them in unique and inventive ways. Each invention project is judged by three judges. The kids have five minutes with each judge to present their amazing ideas. Judges base their scoring on whether or not the child's invention is a fresh or unexpected idea, if it solves a problem, if the invention is workable and well-crafted, the accompanying display board, the inventor's log, and the inventor's oral presentation at the convention.
At least six fourth graders from each elementary school will move on to the District Invention Convention. Good luck to all of our amazing inventors!
